Privacy Policy

Information on the collection, processing and storage of your personal data (privacy policy) TEKKL UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Hohe Weide 32, 20259 Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "us") as the operator of this website takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration. If you use this website, various personal data will be collected. This helps us to better understand the wishes and interests of our customers (and potential customers) with regard to our online communications and our products. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. This data protection declaration explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this happens. As the person responsible for processing, we have implemented numerous technical and organisational measures to ensure the most complete protection possible for the personal data processed via this website. Nevertheless, internet-based data transmissions can generally have security gaps, so that absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, every person concerned is free to transmit personal data to us in alternative ways, for example by telephone.

Definitions

Our data protection declaration is based on the terms used by the European legislator for the adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our data protection declaration should be legible and understandable for the general public as well as for our customers and business partners. To ensure this, we would like to explain the terms used in advance. We use the following terms, among others, in this data protection declaration:

Personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter "data subject"). A natural person is considered to be identifiable if, directly or indirectly, in particular by means of assignment to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more special features, the expression of the physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity of this natural person can be identified.

Data subject

A data subject is any identified or identifiable natural person whose personal data is processed by the data controller.

Processing

Processing is any process carried out with or without the help of automated procedures or any such series of processes in connection with personal data such as collecting, recording, organising, storing, adapting or changing, reading out, querying, using, disclosure by transmission, distribution or any other form of making available, matching or linking, restriction, deletion or destruction. Restriction of processing is the marking of stored personal data with the aim of limiting their future processing.

Profiling

Profiling is any type of automated processing of personal data, which consists in using this personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects relating to a natural person, in particular aspects relating to work performance, economic situation, health, personal preferences, interests, reliability, behaviour, whereabouts or relocation. Pseudonymisation is the processing of personal data in such a way that the data can no longer be assigned to a specific data subject without additional information, provided that this information is kept separately and subject to technical and organisational measures.

Data controller

The controller is the natural or legal person, authority, institution or other body that alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of processing personal data. If the purposes and means of this processing are specified by Union law or the law of the Member States, the controller or the specific criteria for their nomination can be provided for by Union law or the law of the Member States.

Processor

A processor is a natural or legal person, public authority, institution or other body that processes personal data on behalf of the controller.

Recipient

A recipient is a natural or legal person, public authority, institution or other body to which personal data is disclosed, regardless of whether it is a third party or not. However, authorities that may receive personal data in the context of a specific investigation mandate under Union or Member State law are not considered recipients.

Third party

A third party is a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, the controller, the processor and the persons who, under the direct responsibility of the controller or the processor, are authorised to process the personal data.

Consent

Consent is any expression of will voluntarily given by the data subject in an informed manner and unequivocally for the specific case in the form of a declaration or other clear confirmatory action with which the data subject indicates that they consent to the processing of their personal data.

Collection and processing of personal data

We collect, store and process your personal data in compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other relevant laws. The data you enter will be processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR), our legitimate interest (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) and other legal permissions. We collect your data when you contact us, e.g. via contact forms, subscribe to newsletters, book seminars or for order processing including warranties, technical administration and marketing purposes. To process your order, we need your correct name, address and payment details. We need your e-mail address to confirm receipt of your order and for identification (customer login). You will also receive shipping confirmations via e-mail. By sending your message or order, you agree to the processing of the transmitted data.
You are entitled to revoke your consent to the use of personal data at any time with effect for the future, without incurring any costs other than the basic transmission rates. An e-mail or letter to the address given below under "Revocation of consent" is sufficient for this.

Use of your data for advertising purposes

If you have given us your consent, we will also use your customer data for our own advertising purposes, for example to communicate with you about certain products or marketing campaigns and to recommend services that might interest you. In addition, we reserve the right to save your first and last name, postal address and academic degree in summarised lists for postal advertising. You can object to the storage and use of your data for these purposes at any time by sending a message to the contact option described below.

Newsletter

We use the double opt-in procedure for newsletters, meaning we only send them if you have expressly confirmed activation. We will send a notification e-mail asking you to click a confirmation link. By subscribing, you will receive information on new products and promotions. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters, you can object at any time without incurring costs other than basic transmission rates. A message in text form (e.g. e-mail, letter) is sufficient. Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in every newsletter.

Link Identification Data

Our e-mail communications may contain hyperlinks ("links") with unique identification numbers. We (or our service providers) may collect these when your computer accesses the links to retrieve information from our servers. These numbers are not combined with your personal identity unless you have expressly permitted tailored information. We use these links to understand your use of our e-mails and website and to measure marketing success. This helps us improve our offers for individual users. The following is saved for your profile:
  • If you view images in newsletters or click links, we record the device type used.
  • If you visit our website via a newsletter link, we integrate your visit and purchase history into your profile.
  • We use interactions, such as purchased products, to send you advertising tailored to your interests.

Market and Opinion Research

We also use your data for market and opinion research. This is used anonymously for statistical purposes only for TEKKL. Your survey responses will not be shared with third parties or published. We do not store responses together with your e-mail address or other identifiable information.

Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if necessary for contract processing, billing or if you have given consent. For order processing, service providers (e.g. transport companies, banks) receive necessary data. This data may only be used to fulfil their specific task. Any other use is not permitted.
With the exception of the above, we assure you that we will not pass on your data to third parties outside of TEKKL, unless there are legal obligations, such as requests from authorities or courts.

Revocation of consent and right to information

You are entitled to view or revoke your consent at any time with future effect. Send an informal message to TEKKL UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Hohe Weide 32, 20259 Hamburg or e-mail bachmann@tekkl.com. After revocation, only data necessary for contract processing or legitimate interests will be used. If we process data for legitimate interests, you can object for reasons arising from your particular situation. We will then stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling grounds that outweigh your interests or for legal claims. According to GDPR and BDSG, you have the right to free information about stored data and rights to correction, blocking or deletion under Art. 15 to 20 GDPR. Contact our data protection officer at the address above or via bachmann@tekkl.com.

Retention of data

We store personal data for as long as necessary to provide a requested service or for which you gave consent. After contract completion, data is stored for the warranty period, then for statutory retention periods (tax and commercial law), and deleted thereafter unless you consented to further use.
